Event: Gundam Model Kit Contest 2013 (Contest Entry)

After 3 months preparation, a busted compressor, tons of medication, and a wounded nose here's my entry for the Gundam Model Kit Contest 2013 (New Challenger - Open Category).

Limited to kits from Gundam Seed, Gundam AGE and Gundam Unicorn, I chose the enemy grunt unit MSM-04G Juaggu (Gundam Unicorn) as my contest entry. I like anything monoeye so I really had fun making this. 

I have a lot of kits and already completed all the necessary tools, but this is actually my first time to finish one from start to end (sanding, airbrush painting, detailing, weathering, etc). I have a few snap built ones, but I really don't consider those as completely built. Also, painting my Juaggu was quite a challenge due to health reasons.

I've always wanted to paint one but I always have asthma and allergies. Good thing I survived this build. Since I have already invested on all the paint, tools and equipment, an air purifier will be next on my list. Hehe.

There is no restriction with the colors so I chose Universal Camouflage Pattern or Digital Camouflage in desert terrain. Multiple layers of paint really made this Juaggu a "hard-headed" one.

Even with some limitations, I had a great time building this guy and learned a lot of new things. I actually lined up my next projects already. XD 

Hongkong 2013

Shop, walk and eat! Can't get enough of Hongkong! Even the rain didn't stop me from reaching my favorite shopping areas.

Hot Toys: The Dark Knight Rises - The Bat (Preview)

Something big has arrived

"The Bat" as seen on The Dark Knight Rises movie has finally landed in Japan and will be on display at Toy Sapiens. Hot Toys has really done it by creating probably the biggest toy ever!

A one of a kind exhibit piece? Or will this baby really be in production and set back collectors by a lot of $$$?

Event: Pinoy Sixth Scale 2nd Anniversary Party

Congratulations to Pinoy Sixth Scale group on it's 2nd year of sharing the love for 1/6 scale action figures! I'm glad I was able to join this awesome event. Got to meet a lot of cool people who share the same passion (or even more) for toys.  

Great food. Great company. Great entertainment. Whoa! Spider-man is in the house!

Also got a neat 3A catalog from the raffle.

KAWS: Astro Boy Companion (Mono)

We're having a lot of KAWS releases lately. The original colorway of the Astro Boy Companion is a really awesome piece, and here's the perfect companion for that.

Doktor A: Chester Runcorn "Verdegris Edition"

Here's another masterpiece by Doktor A -- a handpainted Verdegris edition of Chester Runcorn. Only 10 pieces worldwide, each figure is signed and numbered. It also has a unique identifying mark since the number is embossed on top of Chester's hat.

Fewture: Getter Robo G (Preview)

Get ready for some more metal with Fewture's new line-up. Getter Robo G is the direct sequel of Getter Robo. 

Getter Robo G is composed of three jet-like vehicles. Depending on the combination, three robots can be formed: Getter Dragon, Getter Liger and Getter Poseidon.

These awesome masterpieces will be released soon, but knowing Fewture, there will surely be delays. That gives us enough time to save on these heavy babies.
